NGTR

Neutral grounding transformer and resistors is typically provided for generator neutral grounding or for MV system grounding. The transformer used is a dry type transformer with single phase at the primary(MV) rated voltage to the system phase to neutral voltage and the secondary(LV) rated voltage either 110V or 240V. The resistor is provided across the secondary side of the transformer to have a reduced ohmic value tre three-phase electric power systems to provide a ground path to either an ungrounded wye or a deltaconnected system. This is used along with a NGR to ground the transformer to earth
